P1 Intake August 2014

Glasgow City Council issued a letter this weekend to all catchment parents who registered their child for enrolment at Hillhead Primary.

They have advised that there is currently an over subscription of children registering for P1 in our school and that they are going to apply criteria to prioritise places. If any catchment family is unsuccessful in their request to send their child to Hillhead Primary they will be offered an alternative local school.

This is clearly a worrying and uncertain time for the parents of children who live in our catchment area and are due to start school in August.

If you are in this situation or know of anyone in this situation I am happy to guide you through the process and explain the situation as best I can.

There is a very narrow time frame to respond to Glasgow City Council’s letter and it is important that a response is submitted.
