The Parent Council would like to draw your attention to the following two important meetings. We appreciate that these meetings are close together but they are both important for different reasons and we would be delighted if you could make it along.

Parent Forum meeting on GCC consultation

When: Monday 20th October, 7-9pm

Where: School Dining Room

The aims of this meeting are:

• To present the new consultation proposal “Kelvin Park Early Years Centre would not be closed. Additional teaching spaces would be provided within Hillhead High School in order to provide Hillhead Primary School with flexible space”
• To present information on the potential implications of this proposal for Primary 7s
• To answer questions where possible
• To gauge the response from the parent body to this proposal.

Parent Council AGM

Where: Tuesday 4th November 7-9pm

Where: School

The aims of this meeting are:

• To report on the work of the Parent Council over the past year
• To elect members to serve on the Parent Council for the 2014-15 school year
• To approve accounts
• To discuss key areas of interest/action for the coming year and hear the development priorities for the school.

The Parent Council constitution can be viewed on the the Parent Council page of this website.

Please consider whether you might like to join the Parent Council. We are ideally looking for a spread of membership across the school years. As a member of the Parent Council, you would attend termly meetings (and additional ones where required) and be willing to become involved in a range of different activities supporting the school.
